Not Leap Year?
It seems that someone told the PS3 that this year was a leap year… which it isn’t. The result was that a large number of PS3 units were crippled by a bug related to the internal clock. Sony advised people to not use the affected units for 24 hours, until the date cycled correctly.
This has now happened, and the affected units should be working normally again, according to Sony. However, if users are still seeing incorrect times, they can be adjusted manually.
"We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused," the company said.
