Use of this website constitutes acceptance of all our Terms and Conditions without modification by the client (hereafter referred to as “You”). Please read these terms and conditions of use carefully before you accept them. Your acceptance of these terms and conditions shall be indicated when:

TERMS & CONDITIONS:
All standard terms and conditions of BT Games and suppliers of products advertised apply. All offers expire on specified dates unless otherwise stipulated and are only valid while stocks last - promotional offers are generally valid while limited stocks last only, some stores may sell out faster than others. Pre-orders require a non-refundable R50 deposit in store or full payment if ordered online, keep your receipt to redeem this deposit amount against your purchase upon release. Auto-upgrades and DLC offers are allocated on a first-paid-first-received basis provided pre-ordered items are collected within 7 days of release. All release dates indicated are merely a guide and are subject to change at any time without notice due to circumstances beyond our control. BT Games will inform customers of any changes via email or sms. E&OE. All trademarks and logos used are the property of their respective owners.
We reserve the right to limit quantities of promotional items per customer. We furthermore reserve the right to refuse sales to any dealers or resellers as we sell to end consumers only. Website pricing may differ from in-store pricing, and vouchers may not be able to be redeemed on website purchases. Original vouchers are valid for a single use/purchase and are not redeemable in conjunction with a pre-order discount or any other promotional offer. Where applicable, promotional prices (“voucher price”) have already had the advertised discount value applied and as such is not incremental. Similarly a displayed RRP may be indicative of the current promotional price. Certain offers may only be available in-store or online. Prices shown in advertising are for individual items on an “each” basis.
Whilst BT Games takes utmost care to ensure that all advertising is correct, if any mistakes occur or incomplete information is advertised, BT Games undertakes to display a notice in-store and online with correct information. Stock availability may vary per store. Pre-order incentives may be determined by publishers, are limited and may be substituted and/or changed at any time. Collector´s editions and other premium versions of games, and selected consoles or hardware items, require full payment within 48 hours to secure an order before we will import the item for you. This payment is non-refundable should the order be cancelled within 14 days of release. Payment applied to secure an order for a collector's edition or any other premium version of an item, will be forfeited if you do not collect within 48 hours of release. BT Games cannot be held liable for certain games or consoles that require internet downloads and/ or updates before playing. No dealers. BT Games Advantage card benefits are not applicable to any promotional offers. E&OE. Pack shot images of certain products may vary. All orders placed online for in-stock items or upcoming releases are to be paid for in fukl for an order to be valid (no payment may be made in-store if you opt to collect your order at a BT Games store).
This agreement constitutes the entire agreement between BT Games (PTY) Ltd "BT Games" and the client "You".

BT Games reserves the right to cancel or suspend your account if you are in breach of any of these terms and conditions, provide false information, have reason to believe your account has been compromised or misuse this website. BT Games will at all times reasonably endeavor to ensure the accuracy of information on these websites. BT Games makes no representation or warrant that any information on this website is correct or up to date. BT Games cannot be held liable for loss or damage caused by the reliance on this information.Pack shot images of games are subject to change and may differ from the product you receive. In advertising if we mention availability as "in-store" this refers to our "bricks and mortar" retail outlets and not the website - we refer to our web store as "onlline".
Games displayed on this website have been certified with Age Restrictions as per the Films and Publications Board of South Africa. It is your responsibility to ensure that you, or the person, you are purchasing the product for, meets the appropriate age requirement. BT Games reserves the right not to supply any age-restricted product, where we reasonably believe that a client is below the minimum age. Accordingly you indemnify BT Games and all it suppliers, should you purchase a product that is not age appropriate or misrepresent your age. Similarly the viewing of trailers may be protected by an age verification step however it is an adult or legal guardian’s responsibility to ensure minors are accompanied whilst viewing the BT Games website.
Agreement of Sale
All orders placed by you are subject to our acceptance thereof. BT Games may elect to reject your order for any reason whatsoever and will not be liable to you or anyone else in such circumstances. If BT Games elects not to accept your order, we will inform you as soon as possible via email or SMS.
Although BT Games does at all times endeavor to ensure that we only display products that we have stock of and at the correct price, errors may occur. In those circumstances we reserve the right to cancel your order, inform you by email and refund any monies that may have been received.
Once you have placed you order, you will receive acknowledgment of your order from BT Games. This does not constitute BT Games acceptance thereof. An agreement of sales shall only be binding on BT Games once we have authorised your payment and/or received the monies in our bank account. An early reservation (one placed on this website before an actual price is known) does not constitute a sale.
The prices for product is set out on the website, errors and omissions excepted. The pricing is including VAT at 15% but does not include delivery charges. Delivery charges will be set out at time of check out and are valid only for deliveries within South Africa. We may reject your order if we find that an incorrect area code has been supplied as shipping charges are based on these area codes.
Pricing on this website may differ from in our BT Games retail stores. Furthermore the pricing of digital games may vary from physical games in-store and/or online. The pricing in certain instances may be lower than in store and is only valid on this website. Our stores cannot lower a price to match an online price. All online pricing, promotions, bundles and offers are applicable to this website only and are not valid in our stores, unless stated otherwise.
Pricing may change at any time and is subject to exchange controls. Please note that certain digital products (like online membership or wallet top-up items) are not necessarily supplied instantly upon order and may take a working day or more to complete depending on the payment method used.
In the unlikely event that an incorrect price is published on this website, BT Games reserves the right to cancel the order and refund any payment that may have been made to us. In instances of incorrect pricing, BT Games will contact you to inform you of the price changes and to determine whether you wish to proceed. If BT Games is unable to contact you, we will refund any monies that may have been paid to us. BT Games will not be obliged to provide any products at the incorrect price.
All offers expire on specified dates unless otherwise stipulated and while stocks last.
Advantage card Benefits
BT Games Advantage card benefits are not applicable to any website offerings and are only valid at selected retail stores.
BT Games cannot accept your order until you have paid in full. Upon submitting your order, you confirm that the payment card that is being used is yours, and you meet the age restrictions for the game purchased. We only accept cards issued in South Africa and may reject any international cards.
Payment to BT Games can be made in any of the following ways:
Bank deposits and Electronic Funds Transfers. If you elect to pay via any one of these methods you will be provided with our banking details. Payment must be made with seven (7) days from order or forty eight (48) hours if a premium version of a title is being ordered, else it will be cancelled. Please ensure that you provide your order number as reference when depositing your payment. If the full payment is not effected, then no delivery will occur. BT Games does do not accept cheque deposits. Please note that orders will only be confirmed after payments have cleared into our account.
Credit Card payments. BT Games accepts Credit Card payments via MasterCard and VISA. We make use of PayGate to process all credit card payments. PayGate uses the strictest form of encryption, namely Secure Socket Layer 3 (SSL3) and no credit card details are stored on the website or by BT Games. At the time of paying an order via the website, the transaction amount is presented to your card’s issuing bank for immediate authorisation. If your bank’s authorisation is not obtained, your order will be cancelled. BT Games will not be obliged to inform you of the reason for the refusal and will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery. BT Games is not liable for your card issuer charging you any fees as a result of us processing your credit/debit card. If for any reason we believe that the order may be fraudulent, BT Games reserves the right to cancel the order and refund any monies that may have been paid. Payment is only collected from your bank once BT Games authorises the order. Your credit card must be set up for 3D secure purchases (see HELP section for more detail). Kindly note that due to the way credit card payments and refunds are processed (full amount of payment refunded direct to the credit card of account used to make payment) -partial refunds are not possible.
In Store collection for in stock and pre-order items must be paid for online. If you elect to collect your order from one of our stores, payment will be required to be made online upon placing your order. Please take your ID or drivers licence along with you when collecting so that we can verify you are the person who paid us. Note that you must wait for communication from us to collect your order, an email from PayGate confirming your payment or from us confirming your order does not suffice.
Merchant Outlet country and transaction currency
The merchant outlet country at the time of presenting payment options to the cardholder is South Africa. Transaction Currency is South African Rand (ZAR).
The offerings on this website are only available to individuals residing in South Africa, selected services are available to residents of Namibia.
BT Games will only ship within the borders of South Africa and does not ship to postal address. All orders to main centres are shipped via a courier service. Certain larger or heavier items are only shipped using an economy service but the majority of games are shipped overnight. Please read our Shipping Policy page for more detail.
We will endevour to ship all available items, where reasonable, within 48 working hours. Orders placed over a weekend, will be shipped within 48 hours from the first working day thereafter. If we cannot ship your order within 7 days from date of order, then we will cancel your order and refund any payment you may have effected.
In Store Collection
If you elect to collect your order from a store, please wait for confirmation via SMS or email that your item is ready for collection at your chosen store. Do not go to collect until this has occurred, an email from PayGate confirming your payment does not suggest your order is ready for collection. It could take up to14 days for store to receive stock for your order.
Internet connectivity and available bandwidth
Many consoles, games or game add-ons require an internet connection to update, redeem and/or play. All internet, broadband and bandwidth fees will be for your account and BT Games cannot be held responsible for any costs incurred in this regard. We also recommend you familiarise yourself with your PC settings on software updates.
The majority of pre-orders will be shipped 24 hours prior to the advertised release date. Unfortunately delays may occur due to unforeseen circumstances. Publishers may move release dates or goods may be delayed due to customs and shipping issues. BT Games cannot be held liable for any of these occurrences.
BT Games reserves the right to limit quantities and not supply dealers. In certain instances where codes or physical items are offered with pre-orders, BT Games may restrict the code or item to one per customer and/or one per order only.
In many cases BT Games is given incentives from publishers in the form of free physical items and/or DLC (downloadable content) to secure pre-orders. These incentives are subject to change and may be limited or altered. All pre-order incentives will be distributed on a first paid first served basis and usually ship with your game. You are not entitled to a pre-order incentive if you do not collect the pre-order. Codes for digital content is sent to collected pre-order customers within 2 days of the game being received and by SMS only. BT Games advertising exclusivity on such digital or physical pre-order content is meant as being relative to other physical retailers in South Africa, and not other retailers outside of South Africa, and not relative to digital stores such as Xbox LIVE, PlayStation store et al.
Due to the volatility of the Rand against major currencies, all pre-order prices are subject to change. In the event of a change in the price, advertised features or product offerings, BT Games will contact you with the revised information and you will have the opportunity to cancel or amend your pre-order. In the instance of a price decrease, you will also be informed and any difference in monies paid by you will be returned.
You may elect to collect a pre-order at anyone of our stores nationwide (excluding digital content). At the time of checkout you will be requested to choose a store for collection. If you wish to change this at a later date, please email our orders department.
In terms of the Second Hand Goods Act of 2009, all orders for pre-owned software must be placed by someone over the age of 18 years.
When collecting your pre-owned game/s you will be required to provide BT Games with
- Your South African barcoded ID book or Driver’s license.
- Your residential address and telephone number.
Returns & Exchanges
Goods cannot be refunded once opened due to incompatibility. It is your responsibility to check that you have ordered the correct platform and that your system meets the minimum requirements, before placing your order. Please see our returns policy for more detail.
BT Games will gladly refund or exchange any purchases within 10 days from date of purchase, provided the item has not be used or installed and is returned in its original unopened packaging.
Due to the nature of digitally issued codes or gift cards such as wallet top-ups, online currency and other digitally distributed products (including DLC content), we do not offer any exchanges or refunds on codes once issued under any circumstances. We will assist by putting you in contact with the appropriate party.
You may cancel your order at any time prior to BT Games shipping it to you. Any refunds will be affected within 10 working days of the cancellation of the order. Refunds wills be affected in the same way the original payment was made.
If BT Games has shipped an item to you and you wish to cancel the order it will be subject to our returns and exchanges policy.
Any returns may be subject to a handling fee. BT Games reserves the right to access all returns and apply restocking fees at our sole discretion.
In the unfortunate occurrence that we deliver a damaged or defective product to you, BT Games will uplift and ship you a replacement product at our expense, provided it is reported within 48 hours of receipt. This does not apply to digital downloads.
All returns after 10 days will be subject to the manufactures warranties and guarantees.

- GAME SPECIFICATIONS
When choosing PC games that you want to purchase from BT Games, you need to pay very careful attention to the games system requirements. Each PC title has system requirements available on its description page, and we cannot be held responsible for people who can’t get Doom 3 running on their grandfather’s 486. That’s your heartache, not ours.
Next take a look at the game’s availability.
IN STOCK - The game has been released and is in stock.
PRE-ORDER DATE – This is the approximate release date for titles still in development given to us by suppliers. These dates are not cast in stone and may change periodically. We are at the mercy of publishers and local distributors but do update our website as changes become confirmed.
STOCK CONSTRAINT - This means that the supplier is out of stock, for whatever reason. We will usually have a very small quantity in stock. If you want to select a game, which is marked with STOCK CONSTRAINT, we CANNOT guarantee that you will get the game… we will try, but we make no promises. This is part of the reason why we use our flexible, ultra friendly, super safe payment system (see below.)
CANCELLED – This means the games development has been cancelled or a distributor has decided not to import the title as they have decided that the title will not make the grade.
Please keep in mind that pre-orders are a way to book games that haven’t been released yet. The release dates and prices we provide may change, at the product distributor’s discretion. If this happens, you will be informed. YOUR PRE-ORDER WILL STILL BE SECURE… don’t panic. You might have to wait a few extra days and maybe pay a little extra, but you will still get your games. Also remember that pre-orders close one day prior to the stated release date. This is because we are inherently lazy and don’t want to run around like crazy chasing sixteen million late pre-orders. You may change you pre-order selection up to 2 days prior to release date for another title. Please email your changes to our Orders Manager. You will be notified via email when your pre-order payment is due.
- SHOPPING CART
When you have selected the games that you want, they are placed in the “My Cart” section of the site. Here the total price will be generated, and a payment method and a delivery method will be requested. Once you have approved your order, we will be notified. Once we have confirmed that everything is in order, such as availability we will email you an order confirmation. We do this for a very simple reason - to ensure that we have stock of your order and that you are not billed and then notified of no stock, which in turn causes frustration for both parties. If we find that we do not have stock, your order will be placed on backorder and as soon as stock becomes available you will be notified and then payment can be made. Rest assured, as we have many retail stores and stock one of the largest collections of available gaming titles in South Africa, most items are in stock and available immediately. Please note: all orders placed outside of normal working hours will only be confirmed the next working day. Please note this will not delay your order as we will only be able ship on a working day anyway.
- PAYMENT METHODS
This is our favourite part: getting the money. We offer the following options for payment:
- Credit Card: If you want to pay with one of these plastic chips of doom, select it as your payment option at check-out. We accept most MasterCard and Visa Credit and Debit Cards but only accept American Express and Diners Club cards in-store. Our Namibian store only accepts MasterCard and Visa credit and debit cards.If you select the Credit Card option when confirming your order you will receive a payment link with your order confirmation. This link will take you to a secure payment gateway and the following information will be requested:
- Full Card Holder Name
- Card Number
- Expiry Date, and
- Last 3 digits on the back of the card. (Normally located on the signature strip)
- Security step as facilitated by your bank – we refer to this as 3D secure and this adds extra protection for both you and us. It is now a legal requirement for all South African retailers who sell online.
BT Games guarantees safe credit card transactions. Refer to our Security Policy for further details
- Bank Transfer/Deposit: This is particularly handy for people who get laughed at when they ask their bank for credit cards and it is by far the most secure way of giving us your money. If this is your preferred payment method, just select Bank Transfer/Deposit on confirmation of your order. The following banking details will be supplied to you on your order confirmation. When paying directly into our bank account please use your ORDER number as a deposit reference (Your ORDER number will be recorded on each order confirmation). Bank transfers can take up to 48 hours to reflect and we will only ship once the monies have appeared in our bank account. Please note that no cheque deposits are not accepted. To speed up the process please email your payment confirmation to us (see the contact us page for more info).
- Electronic Funds Transfers. If you elect to pay via EFT you will be provided with our banking details. Payment must be made with seven (7) days from order or forty eight (48) hours if a premium version of a title is being ordered, else it will be cancelled. Please ensure that you provide your order number as reference when depositing your payment. If the full payment is not effected, then no delivery will occur. BT Games does do not accept Cheque or Cash deposits. Please note that orders will only be confirmed after payments have cleared into our account.

- Store prices are slightly more expensive due to overheads that are not incurred online (e.g. Exorbitant Rentals per square meter). Nevertheless you can still take advantage of our web page prices in store, but you must first place the order online to receive an order confirmation, which you will hand in at our till. If you do not do this "sorry for you" but store prices will then apply!!! Just select In Store Payment at check out.
